General
Number One
Character/Writer slander & OOC drama.
I'm not a fan of drama OOC related, nor am I a fan of slandering one's name for no apparent reason. I already stress enough outside of my writing, I do not need to be dragged into any drama on site. If you are involved with any such drama, I ask you politely to distance yourself from me. Otherwise, if you come to me with the drama, I will remove you from my list. It's no hard feelings. I'm sure it's stressful for you as well, but I'm protecting myself. Please respect that.
Number Two
Spam/Rushing
I understand that people get excited for replies, but spam is not the way to express that. I personally find it annoying to have several messages from one person in a short period of time due to me not responding quick enough for your tastes. I have a life outside of writing and I expect that to be respected and people be patient with me. Though, if I haven't responded within a week and I've been decently active, you can shoot me a small reminder or question to make sure I'm still interested, just as I'd do the same to you. This would not be considered rushing me unless it was an everyday thing. A simple reminder is appreciated.
Number Three
Stolen information/plagiarism
I've worked very hard to create and build my character's verse and backstory, so please respect that hard work. If you'd like to create a character within that verse, ask me first and I'm sure I'd have to problem with it, but DO NOT create a character and use it BEFORE asking permission. I don't want to be a 'party pooper' but I am very proud of my work, very protective over my work. Seeing someone using it without my consent first upsets me. Though, like I said, I'm 100% alright with you joining the verse if you ask me first. I'd explain unshared details and we can work on creating a character for you, but that's if you come to me.
Number Four
Writing Lengths/Styles
I am open to any such writing style/length as long as an effort is put into it on both sides of the story. My writing style can vary depending on my writing partner's preferences. So, when I give you the option on choosing the length... I'M GIVING YOU THE OPTION. I am not the best at decisions in any way, shape, or form, so that will be up to you. Whatever you feel like you can write comfortably with, I will mimic that. It's sweet of you to try to give me the option, but I WILL take forever to pick, so to save you the trouble, I give you the choice.
Number Five
Effort
I will give as much effort into a reply as given. If you send me a seven paragraph, heavily detailed reply, I will send back a matching seven-ish paragraph, heavily detailed reply. If you send me a half-assed one sentence reply, I will send back a half-assed one sentence reply. You get what you give and I abide by that. If you don't want a shitty reply, don't send me one. Simple as that.
Number Six
Profanity
I use profanity a lot IC and OOC (in the correct situations, of course). I can't help it. It's how I express myself. My words are colorful and I like it that way. If you have a problem with it, I will try to tone it down, but if I slip up and let one go, don't blame me, please. It comes naturally to me.
Number Seven
Comments.. Messages.. Which one?
As most, I prefer messages for my role play discussion/replies. It's much easier for me to keep up with and keep track of, though, I prefer comments for any OOC questions/comments instead of interrupting reply flow. For my organization, please attempt to direct OOC to comments and role play to messages.
Number Eight
Discord
I used to use the platform, but it grew to be a headache for my devices, hence the fact I don't use them anymore. I understand it is easier to reach some people there, but I prefer to remain in-site and keep it there instead of on other devices. It only would create stress for me to keep up with. With this being said, please do not beg me to re-create or re-activate my discord. The answer will be no and I will not hesitate to tell you so.
Number Nine
Mental Health
I, as others do, struggle at times with my mental health. Within these times, I am known to take breaks away from what I believe will only make my condition worse, that meaning ARP. The smallest amount of stress placed upon me in this condition can be very unsettling, so I prefer to distance myself from that stress. It's no offense to anyone on the site, it's just my mental health. I find it to be much more important than the reply you are waiting on. Please respect this.
If you are struggling with mental health and you'd like someone to talk to, my doors are 100% open to listen. It's no trouble for me to stop what I'm doing to help someone who's going through something tough, so don't feel like a burden on me. I'll do what I can to help you. And yes, I will stop everything I'm doing to give you the listening you need, so you'll have fast replies and someone who will listen. Mental health is important. I don't want to watch someone's health grow damaged just because someone decided to not listen to help and help them through their troubles. I'll be your guide, alright? Sit tight, everything will be alright. ♡
Number Ten
Your Age
I personally couldn't care less what age you are, honestly. If you enjoy writing and you're a teenager, cool. Go do your thing. Though, in order to venture into dark themes or anything suggestive with my character, you must be 18+. This is for my safety. I do not want to be suddenly found and charged because you're a ten year old trying to write gore or smut with me, no thank you. I have no way in proving that you are 18+, but please be honest with me. I do not appreciate liars. If I find out you lied to me, as any normal person would, I will delete you from my list and leave it as that. Like I said, I do not want to get in trouble because of something a youngster lied about.
Number Eleven
Smut/Sexual Themes
Smut, I believe, is a thing that should happen between two characters that are in a relationship, other flings aren't acceptable unless that character in question is a player. My character is not. Any smut scenes will have to be with my character''s partner, not anyone else. May I add, it will be difficult to convince my character that someone is worth being her partner anyway, so there's no need to rush a scene like that. Of course, flirting is allowed. My character can be a flirt, but no smut scenes until my character is claimed. No exceptions. And of course, 18+ years of age is required for such things.
Number Twelve
OOC Information
I will not give out any personal OOC information, so do not try to pry any out of me. I am not interested in telling you any of it.
Though, I will confirm that I, writer of Piper, am over 20 years of age and identify as the female gender.
I find that sometimes knowing of someone's gender makes it easier to write with them somehow, so now you are aware of mine.
If you find it easier to have something to refer to me by, you may refer to me as my pen name: Karma.
Any other information is confidential for my safety. Please understand.
Character Related
Number One
Siblings/Family
My character, being an angel, doesnt have any biological siblings or family members, but she has adopted one character as her brother (Yibo~ /20875). I am not interested in taking on more siblings for my character. This other character for her brother has been implemented into Piper's story well. I wouldn't be able to add any more siblings into the mix without rewriting my entire backstory for her again. Sorry, but that window closed months ago.
Number Two
Relationships
As stated before, it would be very difficult for your character to convince mine that they are worthy of taking my character as their lover. She has a fear of attachment due to others and their mortality compared to her own immortality. Though, I'm still open to ideas and accepting someone's character to be her lover, it would just take time and work towards their built relationship. If you'd be interested in trying to get the two characters together, let me know. I'll think over it. Obviously, I won't say yes to this right away. I'd need to see chemistry between the characters before deciding this. I won't just say yes to please your desperate needs for a lover for your character. Things like this take time.
Number Three
Immortality.. The Curse.
When Piper was ejected from the Higher Place, she was first expected to die before she ever hit the surface of the Earth. Though, being a primum bellator (first warrior), Piper's skin was tough enough to protect her on her way down. This was obviously unexpected so, the angels that remained in the Higher Place placed a curse upon Piper, dooming her to an eternal fate on Earth. This curse restricts her of using her wings to fly and having the ability to die.
Don't fret, this doesn't necessarily make Piper overpowered. Though she isn't able to die (well, she'd just be resurrected within minutes) she is still susceptible to large amounts of excruciating pain. Whenever taking a stab to the stomach, she'd still cry and bleed out like another and die, but she'd just revive a few minutes later. I've added this so people don't get frustrated with Piper's immortality.
Number Four
Children
Some users on the site are known to adopt other users in a playful way or even legitimately. Piper will not do that. If you suggest being adopted by her, she will bluntly refuse. This is also fueled by her fear of their mortality. Piper will NOT adopt/have kids unless it's adopting her lover's children or having some of her own with her lover after discussion.
This being said.. Being an angel, Piper's body works differently. She has the ability to choose whether or not she gets pregnant or not, so if accidents happen, she can just say: "No, thank you." and boom she's not pregnant. It's not the same as an abortion, so don't relate it to that and get angry. She's an angel for fuck's sakes.
Number Five
Offensive Words
Please note that my character's lore is NOT based on any religious texts, practices, or beliefs of any kind. Any possibly offensive words have been changed a bit (ex. Heaven → Higher Place; G-d → Ruler; Hell → Lower Place; S-tan → Mislead). Though, angels and demons are excluded from these for understanding purposes. If you have any issues or confusion over these new names or my lore, please contact me through comments. I won't hesitate to change this for you within our roleplay but I will not rewrite my entire story just for your sake. Everything within our roleplay is 100% fictional. Nothing in the plot should be taken seriously.
Number Six
Foreign Languages
Piper is fluent in every language in existence. She will randomly speak these languages, especially when she's mad. I'll try my best to include a translation for you in parentheses, though I may forget. Just send me a small comment asking about it and I will send that translation over. I am not fluent in ever language ever, so please excuse me if I mistranslate your language. I mean no harm. It's for my character's sake. Note that I am fluent in multiple languages, so I might stick to those few along with Latin.
